My '57 GMC has the exact mounting hardware used that Tim linked. I think it is a GMC verses Chevrolet difference. From what I have found is that the GMC uses a completely different radiator support as well as how the front fenders mount to the frame near the grill. The Chevy assembly manual does not show these springs and u-bolt being used, at least not that I could find.
I was actually just about to put up separate post asking about this hardware, until I saw this. Could somebody tell me the order this mounting hardware goes? Which way does the U-bolt go through the frame/radiator support and where the rubber and metal plate go in relation to the support collar? It's been a couple years sense I tore all this apart and cannot remember.
