(today's gas does not have the lubrication as older stuff, wreaks havoc on the pump cup). I would pull it apart and as Joe said, verify checkball is not stuck and also make sure the pump cup is not torn. When rebuilt, did you make sure the pump bore was clean and smooth? I wrap a strip of scotchbright around some hemostats and spin it in the bore to make sure it is nice and smooth, then put a little grease on the pump cup when I assemble to make sure it does not get moved dry. | | |
