I have a 1352 -072 with a 063 o/d which worked fine until I changed the rear end ratio. I also have a 1352- 145 that I used the tail housing off with an 0.72 o/d. I would like to replace the 0.63 with the 0.72.
I suspect both gears will have to changed if this works at all.

Using the charts, I see you want to put an S10 5th gear on a Camaro T5. The end result will not give you the 0.72 overdrive gear you want. Read more below.

What you need is the 0.72 overdrive gear from a non-world class Camaro T5. Not easy to find, but they are out there (somewhere).

In general, 5th gears can be changed if swapping a non-world class with another non-world class T5. Same is true if world class exchanged with world class.

There is one VERY IMPORTANT factor to understand before undertaking any 5th gear swap.
The S10 input shaft has 21 teeth matched to the 37 teeth on the countershaft. The Camaro T5 input shaft has 24 teeth. So if you put a 0.72 S10 5th gear into a Camaro T5 you won't end up with 0.72.

So it's fine to swap 5th gears from one S10 T5 to another or from one Camaro T5 to another, as long as you stay WC or NWC for both.

Also, FORD T5 5th gears do not have the correct splines to work on a Chevy T5 main shaft.
