If it was me I would sit and look at some pictures of new ones and thn decide the best method to make yours ook like that. strip them all the way down and get them rechromed. then after that decide what colors will look like the stock ones and then paint it up. at the end i would apply some sort of clearcoat to it to make it last longer, one with good uv protection. then i would bolt them back on and tell everyone you did it yourself without help and watch the look of amazement. some people forget that handcrafting pieces is the ultimate in restoration, anyone with money can buy new parts and put them one. It takes a dedicated and talented person to repair old parts to look like new. good luck.
