Hey Friends
I couldn't shift my running stock 1938 pickup. The prognosis was stuck clutch. I order a replacement year model clutch - it arrived - wrong size arghh. Having pulled her a part I thought I'd just free the old clutch and reassemble.

I can't get the brass spacer to not drop down when I slide the tranny forward. Is there a trick or tip I can try? I tried packing greaase but she still drops down blocking the assembly from reseating.

What am I doing wrong?
