to answer my question of using metal ready on surfaces b4 painting w/ these products. You just can't use the ferrous non-ferrous idea.
DO NOT USE metal ready B4 painting any exhaust manifold heat type POR paint. They can not stand the heat and will cause the paint peel.
and no I didn't find out the hard way...
