This truck was the maintenance dept. vehicle at a Ford (yep, Ford) dealer for about 30 years. I work there, they couldn't get parts for it any more, so the General Manager said "sell it".
I really wanted it, so it was mine for $500 cash. It actually ran, needed a bunch of work, but drove it home 22 miles in city traffic.
I just got it where you can drive it safely (well, mostly) today. Here's some pics. I don't want to change it's appearance in any way, just make it a decent driver.
