Reminds me of a situation right in Stovebolt HQ as Milliman and I were looking at a 1/3 decomposed 62 C10, when John, the gracious one, suggested, "just 4 bolts and that cab comes off and you can do the whole thing." While his advise was technically correct, logistically it was not consistent with my level-of-effort assumptions. Of course time and money calculations also needed adjustment.
1 six pack and 4 bolts later, I was in over my head. All said and done, the experience, learning, friendships and camaraderie gained along the way are precisely why we are here.
