| | | | Joined: Aug 2004 Posts: 1,067 Shop Shark | | Shop Shark Joined: Aug 2004 Posts: 1,067 | I don't see why you couldn't color match a modern acrylic urethane paint to an old lacquer paint. The lacquer does not change the shade! You should be able to color match any paint out there.
Or, he could repaint in lacquer if he wants to. It's a very forgiving paint that is easy to work with. If it's kept in a garage, the paint could look good for many years.
