I am replacing rear axle on 1950 3600 for a 12 bolt chevy rear and axle. I disconnect universal to differential yoke from rear driveshaft. At this point should drive shaft slip out? It seems to slide some 3 or 4" but then stop, not sure if it should just slide off of connection point at center member or additional removal of driveshaft components are needed. Service manual is really weak on rear driveshaft removal.
