At that time parts were hard to find and expencive. The 53 wheel bearing was many times more money than one a few years later. I had a newer front axle narrowed and bought bearings.The problem is that I have no idea what year it was. Now I am finally restoring it. I want to put disk brakes on it and replace the spindles. Is there a number on it somewhere? If it was in the middle of the axle it would be gone.If I replace the spindles how universal are they. Any help would be appreciated.
Old enough to know better, too young to resist.
