The new pins are installed. The machinist trimmed their length to 5-3/8", the same as the old pins that were removed.
I don't know what to think as I couldn't find any reference or any pins at the 5-3/8" length. It looked as though the factory spec of 5-5/8" was too long for the knuckle, so the pins were shortened to the most usable length.
The end result is a repair that is as good as the last time it was done--whenever that was---and a great improvement over the worn out mess I dropped off at the shop. Jim
