That switch on mine is actually a 3 position. The three positions on mine are right-light through the opening in the dash above the key/throttle/choke, center-off, and left-dash illumination when the headlights/parklights are on. The switch is located on the bottom edge of the dash, left of the ashtray, and the switch is a slide that moves through the three positions in a right-left direction facing the dash. Needless to say mine generally stays in the left most position so the dash lights work when I need them. My phone screen makes better light in the cab to find the key hole than the tiny bulb through that little opening above the key.
