I am new to the Stovebolt forums. While I have been reading the forums for some time and benefitting from all your advice I have not actually joined in any of the discussions. I bought my ’47 6400 way back in 2008 but did not have the opportunity to begin working on it until the fall of 2014. I found the truck on Ebay and brought it from eastern Nebraska to Wyoming. My campground business usually slows down in September and I bring the truck in to keep me busy between customers.
The first year I had the radiator and fuel tank cleaned out and reworked. I also had new field coils put in the starter. A new fuel pump, filter and carb rebuild got the engine up and running. I cleaned out the cab, shined up the speedo (washed off the odometer numbers too), rebuilt the seat, and fixed the glove box (and it’s door). Then I installed new door, cowl and air vent weather stripping along with a new drain hose for the cowl tub. Had to replace the Master Cylinder because the other one was too corroded to work properly. I will probably have to rebuild the Hydro Vac next.
I skipped 2015 in favor of another project. Then this year it became apparent that I was going to have to rebuild the wooden stake bed. It had some very interesting construction features that needed to be duplicated if I was going to be able to reuse the original sides and the aluminum metal trim. I finished up that project a week ago and I’m pretty proud of the way it turned out. I have to wait until spring to seal it up so I will leave the hoist up all winter to keep the snow from laying on it too long.
I posted some pictures to photobucket if anyone would like to check out my project:

Thank you all for your help and I look forward to contributing as I may in the future.
