I had a 'real' welder weld a new bung inside mine. He knew what he was doing. Even using my old HF blue POS. So rethink having yours redone by a true welder as they're not as lax by nature as 'someone'.
I had to CLEAN it throughout before he'd even begin and then he cleaned some more...
