Water with a small amount of G.M. Opti-kleen was what the old timer did when I started in 1980. Great trick was to richen the mix of washer fluid on someones' squirt bottle & watch the show. Older & wiser me thinks flammable mist not such a good idea.
I like to take a insulated long screwdriver, attach a jumper lead to it & a good engine ground & move around the wires to find secondary voltage leaks.
