With a set of ARP, or other high-strength rod bolts, and a good recondition on the lower end, you probably won't have any problems. Also, having the rods deburred and shot-peened will add a lot of strength to the stock units. I try to balance the smallblock V-8 rods I run on the circle track to 1/10 gram, but that's a little overkill sometimes. Checking rod length, and reconditioning all the rods to the length of the shortest one helps equalize the compression on all the cylinders, BTW.
