You need a 55 2nd design & later pump, no the same as your 216 or early 235. Unless you have another hose above the heater hose on the pump either 1 or 2 port will do, plug the unused fitting.
Thanks for you fast responds. I am putting this 235 in my 46 truck. I just read about a adaptor plate that can be used to use the old style pump in the stock position as the 216, is this nessasary for application ? I guess the pump shaft is shorter on the old style pump on the 216.
