Advanced Design for 1953 I guess...but would never pass muster today. I wonder how many of these works of art burnt on the side of the road.
A small slice of shrink tube on the post will let me sleep better.
I also restore early 1900 GE fans....you would be amazed that 90% of the ones I have done, show signs of a violent short inside the base. I rubberized the inside of the base on restoration.
