I've attached the inner felt strips a couple of different ways:
1) Glued them in with black silicone, or
2) Throw away the original-style felt strips. Use velcro, just the fuzzy female side. Stick it on, looks just like window felt. I used self adhesive, but it loosens in hot weather, so next time I'll attach it with weatherstrip adhesive.
