Hi. Long shot on reviving an old thread. I have this flasher, also with the plugs cut off. I have been puzzling about the 2 white and 2 purple wires. Now I know! So, when it says to splice them into the turn signal harness, I assume this means into the harness going into the plug on the column, not the wires on the column themselves (ie. after the connector)?
So, would it be possible to just twist the 2 whites together and insert them into the terminal in the connector? I ask because I am modifying this switch to use in my 1961 GMC.
