what rear end do you have, I dont th ink your redline would be super high with a 235.. tachs are nice, had one on my 52
it had the 235, with a t-5 but a high way rear gear, like 2:73
never used the tach for shifting, just the sound of the engine,
mine had fenton headers, dual exhaust, 858 heads, pretty quick
but I did fine by just shifting as normal and not worrying about a red line, I would think the red line might be low 4........happy trucking..
