An original chrome grill in 1952 was rare (due to Korean War need for heavy/rare metals). An early 1952 truck might have had a chrome grill.
On 1951 grills, "The "back splash" bar of the painted grill was white. On chrome grills, only the outer bar was plated and the "back splash" bar was painted as the painted grill."
