Weren't the big truck hoods also different somehow? It's shocking to me that GM actually manufactured such similar looking parts in such slightly larger sizes to accommodate these larger trucks. I mean to the un-trained eye all of the stuff was identical. So not the case. The front clip on my '50 4100 is in pristine condition. I am fortunate.
