Read an old thread regarding incandescent rear brake light/turn signal bulbs not being bright enough which has almost turned my 3100 Chev. P.U into a hood ornament for newer vehicles. Adding hand turn signals to the mix doesn't help as younger drivers who aren't familiar, think I'm pointing to something along the highway.
Want to put LED's in the rear and leave the incandescent bulbs in the front as they are bright enough. Truck converted to a 12V system.
Info. received so far indicates need an electronic flasher (no flash using LED bulbs with existing flasher) and put resistors in line to the incandescent bulbs in front.
Question, does that sound reasonable to those of you familiar with electrical stuff and if so, what type resistor should I add in line to the front bulbs?
Thanks and best regards,
Tex Chev
