I don't know about your truck but on my 38 Master I pulled the cables out as far as I could and used a pair of channel locks to hold the cable while I adjusted the rod. I am pretty sure that using all the strength I could muster, I probably could not produce much drag. Have you any idea if there is any tension in the system with the pedal down?
