The generator case will have a "F" stamped into the housing under one post. This is the Field terminal and will go to your "F" or Fld. terminal on the regulator. The other terminal on the generator will have a "A" stamped in the case under the terminal. This is the armature terminal and it will go to the "ARM" terminal on the regulator.
