For helping keep this great
old truck web site
on the Internet for over 30 years! and not clogged down with Ads! Again, thanks! | | | | Joined: Jan 2001 Posts: 1,426 ODSS President | | ODSS President Joined: Jan 2001 Posts: 1,426 | I found my 11 year old receipt and I had bought one from American Classic Truck Parts, #ME156 '47-'55 Emergency brake cable.
I'll buy a pair and grease them up really good for use in the dd/only vehicle.
Can someone measure the length of their original Clevis Pins? Mine seem exceptionally long and produce a binding of the cable when the emergency brake pedal is released. Are these available from a hardware store? I'll have to check them out at the store armed with thread pitch/inch and bolt end size.
