Stock truck? Follow the stock locations. Generally, easier to move around with out stuff in the way. Modified truck? Everything matters. Heat is the enemy, so is possible contact with any possible movement(engine vibration, exhaust pipe movement and suspension travel). I know it sounds dumb, but some times people forget. You can heat shield, but better routing is safer. Don't forget fuel lines while you are under there.
