| | | | Joined: May 2014 Posts: 44 Wrench Fetcher | | Wrench Fetcher Joined: May 2014 Posts: 44 | I am rebuilding the brakes on my 51 3100. The spring anchor stud has a couple of flats machined on each side to create an oblong. This matches the opening in the backing plate.
There is also a matching washer or spacer with the oblong opening. My question is: does the spacer go inside the backing plate or outside the backing plate? I think inside but I am hoping one of you knows for sure.
