I have a 1948 Chevy 1/2 ton with the fuel tank under the bed on the passenger side. I like the look of the filler pipe that runs trough the bedside. My tank is original and I feel like the metal is a little worn to just clean etch and seal. I have noticed some manufacturers have started making an original aftermarket tank that looks like original but is a little pricey ranging between 329 and 425 before shipping. I was wanting to know if anyone had used a newer tank that fit in this area and allowed for the side fill through the bedside.
