i am rebuilding my 3 speed out of my '51. I have 2 transmissions with the same casting numbers. I took both apart to see if I could make one good from the parts of two.
Both the mainsheets differ in looks. Also, one has WT242 2C and the other has no part number.

Are they swappable? What is the difference
Many of the parts in both transmissions do not have parts numbers.
