I tried something and it worked.
I looked at my own photobucket link below and replaced "jorb1" with "hainscou"
And I got 35truck's bad link to work.

I have to say I have never seen a elongated slot cut into the torque tube housing.
Maybe someone knows why it is there.

You should look at this Item # 595005B 37-39 it is a Okie bushing assembly for your year of truck.
You could call them and ask what the O.D. is.
