Between 47-55 (at least) the hot input lead goes to post behind E (Empty - on the left, from the front of the gauge) and the lead to the sender in the fuel tank is behind F (Full - on the right, from the front on the gauge). During those years (at least), there was red warning label (somewhat like the red label here) on the sender post of the fuel gauge. | | |
