For helping keep this great
old truck web site
on the Internet for over 30 years! and not clogged down with Ads! Again, thanks! | | | | Joined: Dec 2006 Posts: 1,154 Shop Shark | | Shop Shark Joined: Dec 2006 Posts: 1,154 | Hi..we have a person in our family with a leg disability. He cannot drive his fathers 1954 chev 3100 truck as the brake pedal extends too far into the cab and he cannot lift his leg that high. They asked me to cut three inches off the pedal shaft and reweld the pedal plate back on. They say there is enough travel that the pedal will not bottom out. I told them as the brakes wear the pedal will get closer to the floor board. Is there a better way to shorten the stroke or is removing three inches ok. The truck still has its single MC and they want to keep its originality......id like to see the young man drive his dad's truck so any ideas would be great.....thanks, Steve | | |
