Just to give poster info, not to be argumentative: A 61 Amp alternator is $50 and has a lifetime warrantee. As in; you never have to worry about cost again. You can't beat that with a wooden stick. If you are stuck on keeping it stock appearing then that's a factor, as mentioned. I don't believe in torture though.
