You are not "restoring" a truck by putting a fuel injected engine in it, you are rebuilding it.

You are talking about a lot of fabrication and I would expect it to run you $20,000 or more. Unless the service is paying trainees a lot more than what they paid when I was in, I don't think you can afford that route.
