You can do all the work on the computer. Then sell through a website and word of mouth on forums like this. As soon as you register it you get an ISBN number which allows you to take orders from places like Amazon.com
That way when technology changes you can keep it up to date. With time you will sell enough copies and might even convince a publisher for a major release.
