My grille has a top bar that curves downward at the end. "Chevrolet" is stamped into it. The next level has the wider bars I refer to. They fasten to the nose piece in the center and they also fasten to the running light housing. The last part of the grille is the bottom level which is essentially a pan.

These middle bars as I call them are curved upward at the back, presumably to direct air upward to the rad. I removed these upward curved sections because my rad is lower than stock and straight-through flow is better and less restrictive. I have an email in to Carter's to see what he has.
