What's up everybody. I finally pulled the trigger and bought my first project.
I picked up a 1950 3800 dually.
Since I got it I've replaced the plugs, points (set the proper gap), replaced the condenser, tank, fuel lines, fuel pump and a rebuild kit for the carb. Checked the float levels, they are good.
My problems are: small fuel seepage out of the top half of the carb. (New gasket) there is some pitting around the bolt holes.
The truck starts up great, little choke, couple pumps and she fires right up. It idles nice sounds pretty good too. But as soon as I try to give it gas it burps and sounds like it's not getting fuel. I can ease into but it dies out if I go any quicker on the pedal.
