| | | | Joined: Dec 2015 Posts: 2,063 Big Bolt Forum Moderator | | Big Bolt Forum Moderator Joined: Dec 2015 Posts: 2,063 | I replaced the springs in my Suburban with foam on the front seats. 4" of real firm foam for the base and then 2" of softer foam on top I believe. It has been about 15-16 years though. I will probably end up doing the same on my 58 2-ton as soon as I get to that point which should be soon. I am close to getting it on the road and sitting on a 5 gallon bucket will not work going down the road! Larry is correct, an old electric meat carving knife works GREAT for cutting foam! | | |
