mall - i tend to think like albert.. the seams i've done with the gap seemed to reqire less filler & less grinding and look less noticeable than overlap, I also use 75/25 CO2/argon. never tried straight CO2. I think my book says to use straight argon on aluminum. Hope it goes well for ya!
