Does anyone know approximately how big of a gap there should be between the bottom of the bed wood and the top of the frame rail at the area where the frame humps up over the rear axle?
The truck in question is a 1949 3100.
I have a 3/8 inch gap at the rear most mounting points (even after adding the rubber mounting pad and I cannot figure out where this error is coming from. I have about a 1/4" gap between the bottom of the bed and the top frame rail where it humps over the rear axle. I am trying to figure out if this is normal or if it should be closer. When I tore mine down all of the bed wood and mounting blocks were rotted away and it was sitting on the frame.
I will probably end up just making a 3/8" spacer for the rear most mounting point.
