Here's the deal on the creased outer cowl from the door.
The metal is significantly stretched from the door impact.
You will have a tough time pulling the dent out.
I recommend using a cut-off blade in an angle grinder to cut the cowl right through the crease line. This will accomplish 2 things:
1) It will remove most of the excess stretched metal.
2) It will give you access to pull the cowl back into shape through the slice along the crease.
