As far as fitting the steering shaft, yes, it will fit. GM used the same size and spline steering shaft for many years (example, the steering wheel from my '55 fits directly on my '85 Blazer column). I can't guarantee that you would not get gaps or a hub diameter difference from the wheel to the column, though. Another thing to bear in mind as well, the Passenger car steering wheel may be smaller in overall diameter. This will make steering a bit harder if your truck does not have power steering.
