Spray can epoxy paint will react the same way if you re-coat or spray a second coat on it. I have found that most epoxies can be applied in only one coat situations. The second coat will lift the first coat.

Another solvent which is good for removing all greases and oils from items to be painted is Brake Clean. I have concluded that if will clean brake parts and remove brake fluid and grease from them, it is pretty good stuff! I have used it succesfully and after using it, wipe the part down with denatured alcohol and proceed to painting.
