As Mike posted, they marked the glass on the same side/location no matter which side they were installed.
So, they did not have to think which side faced which way, they just installed it.
I am not near my Suburban, but I have the E-Z-Eye (an L-O-F brand) markings and they are supposedly the original orientation.
