I used the hammer tone paint on my Advanced Design period Sears Allstate brand heater and it came out well. Wiser minds are forthcoming but I don't believe a heavier coat is the way to go, just the opposite. I do remember slipping on the old hula-hoop as I shook my money maker (and the rattle can), in other words shake well b4 application. Send in a picture when finished I'm sure a few of us would like to see how it came out.
