For helping keep this great
old truck web site
on the Internet for over 30 years! and not clogged down with Ads! Again, thanks! | | | | Joined: Feb 2016 Posts: 148 'Bolter | | 'Bolter Joined: Feb 2016 Posts: 148 | Thanks for the replies! The serial/vin number on the tag on the hinge side of the drivers door is: 353 24 P 15821 There are no letters before the 353. I tried the "Vin Buster" page and the results from my serial number tell me the truck was made in 1963. I don't think that's correct. But I put a url to an image in my photobucket account of a page I think says more, but I'm still not 100% sure it's correct. I circled my serial number at the bottom. I still can't get any links to work in this forum yet, but you can cut and past the url in a browser and see why I think the truck was made in 1953. Thanks again for the replies! Take care. http://i408.photobucket.com/albums/pp161/davbraley/1948%20GMC%20Truck/year_zpsbv5mejie.jpg
