I use it on a regular basis at work, I like it. There are a few reasons to choose adhesive. First off the obvious, no heat. You can attach the part with no fire concerns, no warping concerns, etc. The second reason is the most important to me, EXCELLENT corrosion protection! If you use it properly, you will have no bare metal to rust and a complete seal so none can get started.
The thing is, you can't use it on a seam like the top of a patch panel where it is smoothed out and painted. It WILL be seen at some point down the road. The adhesive expands and contracts at a different rate than the metal, plain and simple. It WILL show at some point.
